Theory Of Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Chrysler Voyager and 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Body Control Module (BCM) receives CAN Bus messages from the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM), requesting Left or Right Turn Lamp illumination. When the BCM receives this CAN Bus message, the BCM provides a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) output through the Rear Turn Signal Control circuit to the Left or Right Rear Turn Lamp. A ground path for the Left and Right Tail Lamp Assemblies is provided through the wiring harness to the body sheet metal.
