Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read Auto Headlamp Leveling Module (AHLM) DTCs and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read AHLM DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- CHECK THE LEFT HEADLAMP LEVELING MOTOR
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Left Front Headlamp Assembly harness connector.
- Inspect the Left Front Headlamp Assembly and Left Headlamp Leveling Motor for any debris or foreign material that could cause a binding condition.
Were any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Left Headlamp Leveling Motor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to UNIT, FRONT LAMP, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
