Tailpipe Heat Shield: Notes

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the spare tire and wheel.

   1 - Exhaust Tailpipe Shield Fasteners

2. Remove the three outer fasteners securing the exhaust tailpipe heat shield.

   1 - Exhaust Tailpipe Shield Bolts

   2 - Muffler Heat Shield

3. Remove the bolts and the exhaust tailpipe heat shield.

INSTALLATION 

During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

• Check that the heat shield for damage.
