Diagnostic Test
- READ AND RECORD DTCS AND ENVIRONMENTAL DATA - ERASE DTCS AND CHECK FOR DTC TO RETURN
- Diagnose and repair any Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or Communication DTCs before continuing with this test.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs in all Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, run a vehicle Scan Report, or record the Environmental Data related to the DTCs.
- With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10.0 seconds.
- Start the engine.
- Using the recorded Environmental Data and the When Monitored Conditions, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read CSWM DTCs.
Is the same DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the appropriate INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- Diagnose and repair any Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or Communication DTCs before continuing with this test.
- CHECK THE BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) FOR PROPER VEHICLE CONFIGURATION
- With the scan tool verify the vehicle configuration is correct in the BCM.
- With the scan tool, perform any available Comfort Seat Wheel Module (CSWM) software updates or calibration procedures in accordance with the service information.
- With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off for 10 seconds.
- Start the engine.
- With the scan tool, read CSWM DTCs.
Is the same DTC active?
Yes
- Verify that the proper Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is stored in the PCM and BCM. Check for any Service Bulletins that may apply.
- If no problems are found, replace the Comfort Seat Wheel Module (CSWM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, COMFORT SEAT AND WHEEL (CSWM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
