Diagnostic Test

  1. PERFORM THE DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM MODULE (DASM) - CALIBRATION PROCEDURE
    NOTE:

A secure and unmodified mounting location is critical to the proper operation of the DASM.

    NOTE:

Vehicles that have had the suspension modified and/or an aftermarket grill installed that blocks the DASM can cause the DASM to not function properly.

    1. Verify that the DASM is correctly installed and aligned in accordance with the service information.
    2. With the scan tool, perform the Driver Assistance System Module (DASM) - Calibration Procedure.
    3. Perform the DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM MODULE (DASM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM MODULE (DASM) VERIFICATION TEST .

      • Terminals that have been pushed back into the connector cavity.
      • Perform a terminal drag test on each connector terminal to verify proper terminal tension.

Repair any conditions that are found.

    6. Reconnect all DASM harness connectors. Be certain that all harness connectors are fully seated and the connector locks are fully engaged.
