Theory Of Operation

The Integrated Center Stack (ICS) is the customer interface control for many vehicle features such as Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Heated Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, Hazard Switch, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and other various features depending on the vehicle's option configuration. The ICS receives a direct Battery B(+) from the Power Distribution Center (PDC) and has a body ground. Actuating a function by the use of any ICS button or knob sends a signal via CAN IHS through the CAN IHS Star Connector then to either the Body Control Module (BCM) or the corresponding module for which the intended function was actuated.
