Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR OTHER DTCS
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With a scan tool, read and record DTCs and freeze frame data on the repair order.
  NOTE:
  This information is important and will be necessary for future reference.
  
  Are there any CAN B or CAN C communication DTCs active or pending?
  
  Yes
  - Perform the applicable diagnostic procedure(s). Refer to 3.6L (GPEC 5) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
  No
  - Go To 2
CHECK THE PCM FOR FLASH UPDATES OR SERVICE BULLETINS
1. Perform any Service Bulletins or flash updates that may apply for the PCM or TCM.
  Were there any Service Bulletins or flash updates that repaired the issue?
  
  Yes
  - Repair is complete.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Perform the COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
    NOTE:
    Treat this DTC as an IMPLAUSIBLE SIGNAL DTC when performing the COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE.
