Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to the appropriate service information .
  2. Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the Comfort Seat and Wheel Module (CSWM), if equipped. Refer to MODULE, COMFORT SEAT AND WHEEL (CSWM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Remove the two upper power inverter module bracket to Instrument Panel (IP) support mounting bolts (3).
  5. Remove the two lower power inverter module bracket to IP support mounting bolts (2).
  6. Carefully remove the bracket with the power inverter module (4) and disconnect the wire harness connector.

  7. Remove the three power inverter to bracket bolts (1) and separate the power inverter module (2) from the bracket.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Position the power inverter module on the bracket.
  2. Install the power inverter module to the bracket with three mounting bolts and tighten securely.
  3. Connect the power inverter module wire harness connector and position the power inverter module in the IP support.
  4. Install the upper and lower power inverter bracket to IP support mounting bolts and tighten to the proper. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. If equipped, install the Comfort Seat and Wheel Module (CSWM). Refer to MODULE, COMFORT SEAT AND WHEEL (CSWM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to the appropriate service information .
