REMOVAL
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the right front splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the right half-shaft. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
or REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- Remove the bolt (1) and the steering column shaft from the steering gear.
- Remove the bolts (1) securing the right lower load beam extension to the front end.
- Remove the front-end reinforcement bolts.
- On the left side, do the same for the removal of the reinforcement of the front-end and the strut.
- Holding the stem of the link, remove the nut (1) and the right stabilizer bar link from the shock.
- On the left side, proceed similarly to disconnect the stabilizer bar link.
- Remove the rear exhaust pipe bracket bolts (1).
- Loosen the exhaust clamp nut (2).
- Remove the front exhaust pipe support bracket bolts (1).
- Remove the exhaust pipe support bracket bolt (2).
- Remove the nuts (3) and disengage the exhaust pipe from the catalytic converter.
- Remove the gasket.
- Place a suitable hydraulic lift (1) under the transmission as shown in the figure.
- Remove the rear engine mount isolator to bracket bolt (1).
- Place a suitable hydraulic lift under the front suspension crossmember.
- Remove the rear front suspension crossmember bolts securing the of the to the body.
- Remove the left and right side front suspension crossmember bolts (1).
- Using the hydraulic lift, lower the front suspension crossmember and remove the exhaust pipe (1) with the flexible joint.
INSTALLATION
- Install the exhaust pipe with flexible joint and connect it to the exhaust muffler.
- Using a hydraulic lift put into place the front suspension crossmember and tighten the left and right side bolts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the suspension crossmember rear bolts and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove the hydraulic lift.
- Install the rear engine mount isolator to bracket bolt (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Remove the hydraulic lift.
- Using a NEW gasket, install the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter and tighten the NEW nuts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the front exhaust pipe support bracket bolts (2) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the exhaust pipe support bracket bolt (3) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the rear exhaust pipe support bracket bolt and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Tighten the exhaust clamp nut (2) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the right stabilizer link to shock and tighten the nut (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- On the left side, do the same to install the stabilizer bar link.
- Install the front-end reinforcement and tighten the bolts to the proper torque specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

- Install the right load beam extension bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- On the left side, proceed similarly for installing the load beam extension.
- Install the steering column shaft onto the steering gear and tighten the NEW bolt (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the right half shaft. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the right front splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the right front wheel and tire. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
