Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the left quarter trim panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the link rod from the liftgate attachment point.

  3. Disconnect the drive unit wiring harness connector (1) from the power liftgate drive unit assembly.

  4. Remove the three drive unit assembly to body bolts (2).
  5. Unhook the drive unit assembly (1) from the D-pillar and remove the unit from the vehicle.
