Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector before disconnecting the negative cable from the battery.
  2. Remove the liftgate lamp bar. Refer to LAMP BAR, EXTERIOR HANDLE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Disconnect the liftgate jumper wire harness connector (3) from the RVC (1).
  4. Remove the three screws (4) that secure the RVC bracket (2) to the lamp bar and remove the bracket.
  5. Remove the RVC (2) from the lamp bar.
