Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the left rear storage tub.

  3. Disengage the retaining clip (2) securing the Trailer Tow Module (TTM) to the body and remove the TTM from the body.
  4. Disconnect and the two TTM wire harness connectors (1).
  5. Remove the TTM from the vehicle.

  6. Remove the four TTM to TTM mounting bracket mounting bolts (2) and separate the TTM (3) from the mounting bracket (2).
