Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.

  1. To replace the Antilock Brake System (ABS) Module, remove the Integrated Control Unit (ICU). Refer to INTEGRATED CONTROL UNIT (ICU), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  2. Remove the three ABS Module screws (1).
  3. Separate the ABS Module (2) from the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (3).
