When Monitored
RDM SYSTEM ENABLING CONDITIONS AND FAULT SETTING CRITERIA:
The position sensor faults have these shared Monitoring Conditions:
- With the ignition on for 15 seconds or longer.
Additional Monitoring Conditions for motor performance faults:
- The actuator motor is being commanded to operate.
| FAULT SETTING CRITERIA | |
|---|---|
(C2100-13/14/15, C2120-13/14/15) - Actuator Motor circuit faults
|
The DTCM detects an open or short circuit condition in the circuitry for one of the actuator motors. |
(C2160-04, C2200-04) - Power Stage faults
|
The DTCM detects a failure during the Power Stage self test diagnostics. |
| (C2250-78) - RDM motor performance fault | The DTCM detects that the RDM clutch backlash is too high during operation. |
(C2080-64, C2280-92) - motor current implausible faults
|
The DTCM detects that the actuator motor current is not plausible compared to the expected current draw during operation. |
(C2210-92, C2270-77) - motor performance faults
|
The DTCM detects that the actuator motor is not in the commanded position or is rotating in the opposite direction |
(C2240-92, C2290-92) - motor free spinning faults
|
The DTCM detects that the actuator motor is in a free spinning condition |
| (C2300-00) - RDM Classification | The RDM classification value has not been learned in the DTCM |
PTU and RDM Power Stage/Actuator overtemp faults
|
The DTCM detects an over temperature condition in the actuator Power Stage circuit. There are 3 severity levels of overtemp faults for the PTU and RDM actuators.
