Fluid Fill

The Power Transfer Unit (PTU) oil is fill for life and does not require a scheduled maintenance service.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

- Remove the PTU oil fill plug (1) and check the oil level is just below the bottom edge of the fill hole.
- If necessary fill the PTU to the bottom of the fill plug hole using the specified fluid. Refer to CAPACITIES AND RECOMMENDED FLUIDS, SPECIFICATIONS .
- Clean and tighten the PTU fill plug to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
