Removal And Installation: Removal: Installation

  1. The outer input shaft seal (1) will be in contact with the input shaft oil seal (2) when properly installed.

  2. Position a new oil seal on the input shaft, install the seal using (special tool #D-389, Installer, Bearing) (1) into the PTU (2).
  3. Install the outer seal over the input shaft and slide it against the input shaft oil seal using (special tool #D-389, Installer, Bearing).
  4. Install the PTU into the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
