The Transmission Control Module (TCM) performs basic system checks to ensure proper controller operation. This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) sets if the calculated check sum in the Random Access Memory (RAM) is different from the check sum value in the Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM).
