Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the washer reservoir to the left front support structure of the vehicle.
  2. Align the reservoir mounting tabs with the mounting holes on the outboard side of the left front support structure.
  3. Install the lower washer reservoir to body fastener and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install the washer reservoir to body fastener and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Lubricate a NEW  rubber grommet seal/filter screen with clean washer fluid and install it into the washer pump mounting hole in the washer reservoir. Always use a new rubber grommet seal/filter screen on the reservoir.
  6. Install the washer pump unit into the reservoir. Refer to PUMP, WINDSHIELD WASHER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Install left front wheelhouse shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  8. Install the upper washer reservoir to body fastener and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  10. Fill the washer reservoir with the washer fluid drained from the reservoir during the removal procedure.
  11. Verify the proper function of the front and rear washer nozzles.
