Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, create a Vehicle Scan Report and attach it to the repair order.
- With the scan tool, read the RBSS DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- INSPECT FOR DAMAGE OR DEBRIS TO THE SURROUNDING AREA
- Inspect the surrounding outboard end of the rear fascia for any damage or foreign debris (mud, ice, stickers, paint, etc.).
Was any damage or foreign debris found?
Yes
- Repair any damage or remove any debris found as needed.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Right Blind Spot Sensor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SENSOR, BLIND SPOT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- Inspect the surrounding outboard end of the rear fascia for any damage or foreign debris (mud, ice, stickers, paint, etc.).
