Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. If removed, connect the wire harness connector for the speed control switch.
  2. Position the wire harness in the steering wheel following the correct routing and secure the wire harness in the retainers.
  3. Position the speed control switch to the steering wheel, then install and securely tighten the screw.
  4. Connect the remote radio switch wire harness connector and position the wire harness in the retainers.
  5. Position the remote radio switch on the steering wheel, then install and securely tighten the screw.
  6. Install the remote radio switch trim cover.
  7. Repeat Steps 2 through 7 for the switches mounted on the left side of the steering wheel.
  8. Position the steering wheel to the steering column and connect the wire harness connector for the SCCM.
  9. Properly align the steering wheel to the steering column shaft and install it on the shaft.
  10. Install the steering wheel nut and torque the nut to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  11. Install the cover for the nut on the steering column shaft.
  12. Install the DAB. Refer to AIR BAG, DRIVER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
