Link, Trailing, Rear: Installation

  1. Position the trailing link (3) to the steering knuckle then install the trailing link to knuckle mounting bolts (4) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

  2. Position the forward end of the trailing link (2) to the body and install the trailing link to body mounting bolts (1). Do not tighten at this time.
  3. Using a suitable holding fixture, support the outboard end of the spring link and lift it to normal ride height.
  4. Tighten the trailing link to body mounting bolts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Remove the lower control arm holding fixture.
  6. Install the routing clips attached to the trailing link.
  7. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  8. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
