The Exhaust Temperature Sensor (1) is located on the outboard face of the Front End Module (FEM). The sensor operates as a typical two wire 5-Volt sensor. The sensor detects exhaust gas temperature and converts it into a voltage and feeds back to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the voltage signal in order to control engine conditions to effectively reduce emission.
