Insulator, Engine Mount, Left: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Raise the vehicle.
  4. Remove the left front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the fastener (1) and remove the negative battery cable (2) from the transmission (3).
    CAUTION:

    Failure to remove the negative battery cable may overstress to the cable due to bending during service.

  6. Remove the belly pan (1).
  7. Lower the vehicle.

  8. Remove the PDC (1) assembly. Refer to CENTER, POWER DISTRIBUTION (PDC), REMOVAL .
  9. Carefully position a floor jack under transmission to support the transmission.

  10. Using care, remove the wiring harness loom (3) from the mount.
  11. Remove the transmission mount to frame bolts (2).
  12. Loosen the mount to strut tower bolt (4).
  13. Remove the bolts (1) at the transmission mount isolator to bracket.

  14. If required, remove the left side upper transmission mount bracket (1).
