Insulator, Engine Mount, Left: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the battery.
- Raise the vehicle.
- Remove the left front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to REMOVAL
.
- Remove the fastener (1) and remove the negative battery cable (2) from the transmission (3).CAUTION:
Failure to remove the negative battery cable may overstress to the cable due to bending during service.
- Remove the belly pan (1).
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the PDC (1) assembly. Refer to CENTER, POWER DISTRIBUTION (PDC), REMOVAL .
- Carefully position a floor jack under transmission to support the transmission.
- Using care, remove the wiring harness loom (3) from the mount.
- Remove the transmission mount to frame bolts (2).
- Loosen the mount to strut tower bolt (4).
- Remove the bolts (1) at the transmission mount isolator to bracket.
- If required, remove the left side upper transmission mount bracket (1).
