Outlet, Power, 115 V: Operation

The 115/230 volt Alternating Current (AC) power outlet switch receives its enable signal from the Body Control Module (BCM). This signal is then passed to the Power Inverter Module (PIM) which in turn supplies power to the 115/230 volt AC power outlet. The PIM receives its 12 volts supply from the Power Distribution Center (PDC) and inverts this to a 115/230 volt AC output. The enable signal received from the power outlet switch enables the PIM to convert the received voltage and pass it to the power outlet to power external devices.
