Switch, Mirror: Description
The power mirror switch includes the mirror selector switch (2) and the mirror control switch (3), which are both integral to the driver side front door power switch module (1) located near the forward end of the armrest on the driver side front door inside trim panel. The mirror selector switch includes two momentary push buttons marked R (Right) and L (Left). The mirror control switch includes a momentary selector disc marked with four directional arrow heads.
There are two unique versions of the driver side front door power switch module. One version is for use in vehicles equipped with the base power window system and is a high current design. The other version is for use in vehicles equipped with the premium power window system and is a low current design. Either version will operate the power mirror system correctly, but an incorrect version will not be compatible with the front door power window system components.
The power mirror switch is serviced only as a unit with the driver side front door power switch module (1). If any part of this switch module is ineffective or damaged, the entire module must be replaced with a new unit. Refer to SWITCH, LOCK, REMOVAL .
