Switch, Power Liftgate: Description
The power liftgate switch (1) is located on the left face of the instrument panel, to the right of the headlight switch.
This switch has a single momentary push button (1) and is used to provide an Open or Close request to the Power Liftgate Module (PLGM).
The switch is constructed of molded plastic and the push button has a smooth, concave face with an International Control and Display Symbol icon for Liftgate Release or Liftgate Open applied to it.
The bottom of the switch housing has an integral connector receptacle containing terminal pins that connect the switch to the vehicle electrical system through a dedicated take out and connector of the body wire harness. The power liftgate switch cannot be repaired and, if ineffective or damaged, it must be replaced.
