Electronic Control Modules (Service Information): Radio: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the instrument panel center bezel from the instrument panel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL .
    CAUTION:

    Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.

  3. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the radio (2) to the instrument panel.
  4. Pull the radio out far enough to access the back of the radio.

  5. Disconnect the antennas (2), and wire harness connectors (1).
  6. If equipped, disconnect the USB connector (3).
  7. Remove the radio from the instrument panel.
