Two Speed PTU

The two speed Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is a service as assembly component when mechanical faults and some oil leaks are evident. The shift actuator, rear output seal, right halfshaft outer seal, and the plug are serviceable. Special tools have been developed to service the seals in the two speed PTU. If hypoid fluid is leaking from the weep-hole between the transaxle and the PTU, the two speed PTU must be replaced.
