Theory Of Operation

The Electric Power Steering (EPS) Module monitors the Wheel Speed Sensors (WSS) and Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) for data to compensate for steering assist. If the EPS Module receives messages from the WSS or SAS that are out of range or invalid of the expected threshold values allowed by the EPS, the steering will be unable to compensate the offsets needed for the steering system to operate correctly.
