CAUTION:

Excessive use of brake parts cleaner to clean threads in block could cause #5 main bearing failure.

NOTE:

Rear plug shown in illustration, other plugs are similar.

Use Mopar® Brake Parts Cleaner (or equivalent) sparingly to clean the block.
Install the plug (2) flush with the block boss face (1). The plug (2) is correctly installed when it is flush or protruding no more than 1 mm from the block boss face (1).
