Amplifier (Amp): Installation: Notes

  1. Connect the wire harness connectors (1) to the amplifier (2).

  2. Position the amplifier (2).
  3. Install the amplifier fasteners (1). Tighten the fasteners to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. If equipped, install the Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFLS) module. Refer to MODULE, ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFLS), INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the glove box. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
