Plug, Ring Gear Shaft: Removal

- Remove the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Place the PTU on a suitable work surface.
- Using a suitable sharp chisel (1), pierce a hole in the center of the plug (2).
- Drive the chisel (1) sideways to lever the plug (2) out of the PTU.
- Separate the plug (1) from the PTU.
