Module, Security Gateway (SGW): Installation

NOTE:

If a NEW  Security Gateway (SGW) module is being installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the module. Failure to flash the module will leave the SGW module in a locked mode preventing SGW module operation.

  1. Position the SGW module to the bracket, then install and securely tighten the screws.
  2. Connect the SGW module wire harness connectors.
  3. Install the SGW module bracket bolts and securely tighten the bolts.
  4. Install the passenger side cowl panel (Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, SIDE INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  6. If a NEW  SGW module is installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the SGW module.
