Fan, Cooling: Removal: 3.6L/5.7L/6.4L
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to CABLES, BATTERY, REMOVAL .
- Remove the air intake assembly.NOTE:
6.4L engines may require the removal of the throttle body assembly.
- If required, remove the throttle body. Refer to THROTTLE BODY, REMOVAL

- Disconnect the electric fan wire harness connector (1).
- Raise and support the vehicle.NOTE:
The lower shroud cover needs to be removed in order to remove the cooling fan assembly from the mounting tabs.
- If equipped, remove the lower engine shield.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING
.NOTE:
The cooling fan assembly is held in place by clips that are part of the radiator. So care must be used so the clips are not damaged during fan removal.
- Push the fan assembly upwards and away from the radiator with the upper cooling fan assembly shroud cover in place.
- Remove the cooling fan assembly from the underside of the vehicle.
- If equipped, remove the upper fan shroud cover (1) by using a pick (3) to pull the cover retaining hole away from the clip (2).
