Section 39 (Audio/Video/Entertainment/Connectivity (Service Information)): Amplifier: Description

An audio power amplifier is included with certain optional speaker packages. The amplifier is available in either 12 channels (1) (Premium I Sound Group - 10 speakers - 506 watts) or 12 channels (2) (Premium II Sound Group - 19 speakers - Harman Kardon Greenedge 825 watts), each of which is specific to the sound system installed in the vehicle.

The amplifier is secured by four screws to a bracket that is mounted to the left rear quarter panel behind the quarter trim panel. Two integral connector receptacles (4) connect the Premium I and Premium II amplifiers while three integral connector receptacles (3) connect the Premium II amplifier to the vehicle electrical system through dedicated take outs and connectors of the body wire harness.

The amplifier cannot be adjusted or repaired. If damaged or ineffective, the amplifier must be replaced.
