Module, Anti-Lock Brake System (Abs): Installation

- Clean any debris off the mating surfaces of the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) and the Antilock Brake System (ABS) module.NOTE:
When installing a new ABS module seal, do not use any type of lubricant.
- If the seals (1) on the ABS module (2) are not new, replace them. The ABS module seals must be new to keep out moisture and debris; DO NOT REUSE THE ABS MODULE SEALS
.
- Align the components and install the ABS module (1) to the HCU (2).
- Install the ABS module to HCU mounting fasteners (3) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the Integrated Control Unit (ICU) to bracket fasteners and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the ICU. Refer to INTEGRATED CONTROL UNIT (ICU), INSTALLATION .
