Removal And Installation: RHD: Installation

  1. Position the Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) pump (2) on the EHPS pump bracket.
  2. Install the three EHPS pump bracket nuts (1) and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Position the EHPS pump to the vehicle.

  4. Tighten the two power steering pump bracket frame bolts (1) to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install the EHPS pressure line to the pump.
    NOTE:

    Make sure the O-ring is clean and seats properly. 

  6. Install the EHPS pump pressure line bolt (2) and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

  7. Connect the return line (3) to the EHPS pump and ensure the hose clamp is securely positioned.
  8. Connect the supply line (4) to the EHPS pump and ensure the hose clamp is securely positioned.
  9. Install the left front wheel house splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  10. Connect the two EHPS pump wire harness connectors (2) and secure the wiring harness routing clips in the EHPS pump.
  11. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
  12. Install the power distribution center. Refer to CENTER, POWER DISTRIBUTION (PDC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  13. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECTION .
  14. Refill the power steering fluid and bleed the system. Refer to POWER STEERING SYSTEM BLEEDING .
