Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN OTHER DTCS
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, select All DTCs.
Are any DTCs present in the RF HUB?
Yes
- Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
No
- Go to 2
- VERIFY THE PROPER VIN IS PROGRAMMED INTO THE PCM
- With the scan tool, display the VIN that is programmed in the PCM.
Has the correct VIN been programmed into the PCM?
Yes
- Go to 3
No
- Program the correct VIN into the PCM and retest.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, display the VIN that is programmed in the PCM.
- VERIFY THE PROPER VIN IS PROGRAMMED INTO THE RF HUB
- With the scan tool, display the VIN that is programmed in the RF Hub.
Has the correct VIN been programmed into the RF Hub?
Yes
- Go to 4
No
- Program the correct VIN into the RF Hub and retest.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, display the VIN that is programmed in the RF Hub.
- CHECK THE RKE FUNCTION
- Use the RKE features on the Key Fob (locks, trunk, etc.).
Do the RKE functions operate properly?
Yes
- Replace the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the faulty Ignition Key.NOTE:
You must obtain the Secret Key pin number.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
- Use the RKE features on the Key Fob (locks, trunk, etc.).
