Removal And Installation: Installation

NOTE:

In any instance where a bolt is through a rubber bushing, the bolt must be torqued with the vehicle at normal ride height.

  1. Position the track bar to the axle bracket then loosely install the track bar axle bolt (2) and flag nut.
    NOTE:

    It may be necessary to pry the axle assembly over to install the track bar at the frame rail.

    NOTE:

    The track bar frame bolt (1) must be installed from front to rear.

  2. Position the track bar to the frame bracket then install the track bar frame bolt (1).
  3. Loosely install track bar frame nut.
  4. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  5. Tighten the track bar axle bolt (2) to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Hold the track bar frame bolt (1) and tighten the track bar frame nut to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Perform the WHEEL ALIGNMENT procedure. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT  .
