Removal And Installation: Right: Installation
- Install the Variable Valve Timing (VVT) solenoid seals. The seals can be reused if not damaged.
- Refer to the markings made at disassembly and install the intake variable valve timing solenoid and the exhaust variable valve timing solenoid in their original locations.
- Install the VVT solenoid mounting bolts (1) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
.
- Connect the wire harness connector (1) to the VVT solenoid.
- Secure the heater hose assembly to the mounting bracket(1).
- Install the engine cover support bracket and tighten the bolts (1) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the air cleaner resonator. Refer to RESONATOR, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
NOTE:
The Cam/Crank Variation Relearn procedure must be performed using the scan tool anytime there has been a repair/replacement made to a powertrain system, for example: flywheel, valvetrain, camshaft and/or crankshaft sensors or components.
