Removal And Installation: Left: Installation
- Install the Variable Valve Timing (VVT) solenoid seals. The seals can be reused if not damaged.
- Refer to the markings made at disassembly and install the intake VVT solenoid and the exhaust VVT solenoid in their original locations.
- Tighten the VVT solenoid mounting bolts (1) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the wire harness connector to the VVT solenoid.
- Install the throttle body support bracket bolts (1) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the air cleaner resonator. Refer to RESONATOR, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
NOTE:
The Cam/Crank Variation Relearn procedure must be performed using the scan tool anytime there has been a repair/replacement made to a powertrain system, for example: flywheel, valvetrain, camshaft and/or crankshaft sensors or components.
