Right Hand Drive: Installation

  1. Connect the BCM wire harness connectors on the rear side of the BCM.
  2. Position the BCM in its housing and secure the retainers to the bracket.
  3. Connect the BCM wire harness connectors on the front side of the BCM.
  4. Install the glovebox into the instrument panel, engaging the retainers.
  5. Instal and securely tighten the glove box compartments internal and lower screws.
  6. Install and securely tighten the side screw and reposition the trim in its housing, engaging the retainers.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  8. If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
  9. Perform BCM programming. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL (BCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
