Section 32 (Starting System (Service Information)): Starter: Installation: 5.7L

  1. Install the starter (1) both mounting and tighten the bolts (2) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  2. Install the battery cable and tighten the nut to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  3. Connect the starter solenoid wire harness connector.
  4. Install the starter heat shield and tighten the bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATION .
  5. Install the left front catalytic converter. Refer to 5.7L/6.4L .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable and tighten the nut tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
