Drivetrain Control Module (DTCM)

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 

  1. The Drivetrain Control Module (DTCM) is incorporated with the shift motor mounted to the transfer case and serviced as an assembly. For removal and installation of the DTCM. Refer to MOTOR, SHIFT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - MPT3015C or MOTOR, SHIFT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - MPT3028C .
    NOTE:

    The classification code for the transfer case must entered into the new DTCM after replacement. The code can be pulled from the old DTCM before it is removed if it is still communicating or entered from the classification code stamped on the transfer case.
