Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the slot over the alignment pin (2) and install the reluctor wheel (1) on the crankshaft.
  2. If equipped with an automatic transmission, install the flexplate to the engine. Refer to the appropriate information.
  3. If equipped with a manual transmission, install the flywheel to the engine. Refer to FLYWHEEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
    NOTE: The Cam/Crank Variation Relearn procedure must be performed using the scan tool anytime there has been a repair/replacement made to a powertrain system, for example: flywheel, valvetrain, camshaft and/or crankshaft sensors or components. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
