Resonator, Exhaust: Installation: Diesel

1. Clean the gasket sealing surfaces.
2. Install a new flange gasket into pipe flange (4).
3. Install the resonator assembly (3) and tighten the nuts (1) finger tight.
4. Install the left side isolators (2) onto the resonator.
5. The tailpipe should be centered in the rear fascia opening.
6. Check the clearance between resonator and tailpipe assembly. Clearance is 16 mm (.62 in.).
7. Tighten the flange nuts (1) to 32 N.m (24 ft. lbs.).
8. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
9. Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
