Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The midline model of the IGNM has the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) feature. The FOBIK uses Radio Frequency (RF) signals to communicate with the Radio Frequency Hub (RF-Hub) and the RF-Hub relays the RKE requests to other modules in the vehicle over the CAN data bus. The IGNM itself does not control any of the RKE functions. Refer to OPERATION .
