Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. With the scan tool, read DTCM DTCs and record on the repair order.
2. Record the Environmental Data.
3. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
4. Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
5. With the scan tool, read DTCM DTCs.
  Did the DTC return?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITIONS TEST. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
CHECK THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) FOR DTCs
1. With the scan tool, check for PCM DTCs.
  Are there any PCM DTCs?
  
  Yes
  - Diagnose the PCM DTCs in accordance with the diagnostic information. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
  - Perform the DTCM VERIFICATION Procedure. Refer to DTCM VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Test complete, the problem or problems that caused this DTC to set are no longer present.
  - Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITIONS TEST. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
