Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

LHD shown in illustration, RHD similar.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the floor console trim. Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Working in front of the transmission shifter control (1a), disconnect the neutral position sensor (1c) wire harness connector (1b).
  4. Release the retainers (2a) and remove the sensor (1c) by lifting. If necessary, insert a suitable tool under the bottom of the sensor and apply light pressure to disengage the sensor from the seat.
