Clutch System: Flywheel: Installation

Clean the surfaces of the flywheel and pressure plate.
NOTE:
When installing tone wheel, be sure the XXXXXXX printing on the tone wheel is facing outward
If vehicle is equipped with start-stop feature, install tone wheel on crankshaft.
On Diesel engine, Install flywheel with NEW bolts and tighten in a criss-cross pattern. Tighten bolts to 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.).

Using a torque wrench fitted with a Torque Angle Gauge, (Goniometer), loosen one flywheel bolt at a time and tighten to 25 N.m (19 ft. lbs.) plus angle in relation to bolt length.

40 mm	60°
50 mm	75°
60 mm	90°

On Gas engine, Install flywheel with NEW bolts and tighten in a criss-cross pattern. Tighten bolts to the proper torque. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install clutch disc and pressure plate. Refer to DISC, CLUTCH, INSTALLATION .
